Activity Tracking
All activities in PCMS are configurable to the individual site's work practice.
Types of activities tracked in PCMS are limitless and can be defined by the user,
but typical activities tracked in the program include:
- Visual Inspections (Internals/Externals)
- On-stream Inspections (TML/CML/Measurement Sets)
- PMI (Positive Material Identification)
- Management of Change
- Failures
- Valve Test Repairs
- Maintenance Requests
PCMS offers the following modules to support the documentation of the
inspection activity:
Document Manager
The Document Manager allows any type of inspection record to be centrally managed
within PCMS. The user can store any file type including pictures, word documents,
pdf, flash, videos and more, directly in the PCMS database. Files can also be linked
to PCMS through network drives or document management systems. All files can be
easily viewed from PCMS as well as printed within any canned inspection report
template or a custom report.
Report Template Builder
Predefined inspection checklists can be configured per equipment type, equipment,
or specific inspection activity. The Report Template Builder allows for consistent
reporting and detailed failure analysis. Turnaround plans can be automatically
added to the inspection checklist and seamlessly updated when changes occur.
Maintenance Tracker
The Maintenance Tracker is specifically designed to allow the inspector to enter
any type of deficiency (post inspection) or planning (pre inspection) item
along with information for maintenance personnel to review including;
work priority, completion date, work constraints, and work narratives
such as findings and scope. Users can also include detailed attachments such
as pictures or word document narratives. The module provides a complete sign
off and approval process to ensure proper work flow. The user also has the
option to allow the activity to automatically create a notification in the
facility's Maintenance Management System (i.e. SAP®, MAXIMO®, EMPAC®)
as well as receive work orders and statuses from the CMMS system.
